About us

I’ve been fascinated by high technology since the 6th grade.  Not just how it works, but also its unintended social consequences.  I recently stumbled on a paper I wrote for college entitled “Privacy: The price we pay for the benefits of the computer revolution.”

After 16 years at Intel, I decided to take my expertise in Privacy and Security and apply it more directly through Cyber Safety -- helping students, parents, and educators understand how to be safe in online.  I’ve gathered some of the presentations here.

I believe that technology is a tool.  It needs to serve the needs of its users.  Technology is a tool used by businesses to deliver value to their customers.  Unfortunately, many organizations have trouble making the connection between the technology part (IT) and the business.  I believe this connection is so important that I added IT Service Management (ITSM) training to my portfolio in 2010, and it has taken on a ever-expanding role in my work since.  My ITIL Expert certification enables me to teach ITSM, a proven methodology to help businesses realize the true potential of a synergistic partnership with IT.
